I don't really see these things as niche issues at this point, but as the most important things everyone should be doing (besides living much more simply in general.) I've pretty much lost hope in the mainstream climate movement and legislative solutions. Our leaders, so called, will not save us. Doug Tallamy's model of getting millions of small landowners to create biodiversity is the right idea. Changing agricultural practices is key. That's where the big battle will be.
Well said. Another example: the bad effects wind turbines have on bat and bird populations.
