Garden chores are lessening as days shorten and cooler weather takes hold. Of course, permaculture doesn't stop since it's much more than a system for growing plants. The dormant season is a time to plan for next year, work on infrastructure, and, for me, remove invasive species. What do you do during this season? Great question! We’re collecting bagged leaves from our neighborhood and distributing them as mulch.
Free mulch is awesome! I still find it amazing that people don't want their leaves and just give them away.
I know! But we permaculturists loooove the leaves. My husband and I also chase after wood chippers.
