Glad to see this! My thinking changed on clay when I read that it’s conducive to growing the widest variety of vegetables.

Wow, I always feel very nurtured and calm when reading these posts and viewing your photos and videos. Ahh! Makes sense what you said about clay + compost + mulch = power trio! We are poised to start our first (small:) in-ground veggie garden in the next couple weeks; feeling inspired and nervous, but excited, too!

I've thought about this comment and feel it is one of the best I've received. I didn't set out to nurture or calm, but I'm very glad my writing has had that effect. In the future I will keep this is mind as I write. We all need more of that which nurtures and calms.

Fermentation is a completely organic process which can happen spontaneously in nature even without a human agent. Wine making is perhaps the most elemental method of making an intoxicating beverage. Wine drinking jibes well with the Turtle Paradise ethos. (Just in case you needed a rationale). Cheers!
