Thank you! I really enjoy reading your posts, and this was a great one to get as the weather turns. To me, my garden/homestead is a paradise, but sometimes (especially in gray Ohio November) I wonder what others see. We often laugh at the random assembly of objects that appear on counters, in pockets, or beside barns…but these are all signs of home that is well lived in. I love seeing hands on permaculture here in Ohio, thanks again for sharing!

Lynn Cady: I'm going to cross-post this over to Brunette Gardens' readers on December 8, if that's cool with you. Excited to share it!

I once sat on the sofa next to a pile of laundry that needed folding, only I was paging through a ladies’ magazine, lamenting how different the pictured homes were from mine. I snorted at the article showing parents ice-skating with three kids, everyone in clean, matching, hand-knit sweaters that fit. Somehow I ended up starting to look again. This time my eyes fell on the magazine masthead page. The ice-skating story alone had a staff of fifteen. I am not sloppy or lazy. I am chronically under-staffed!
