The older flock has moved to Camp Chickapoo, where they happily scratch through horse manure.
Chinook watches me work in the garden, hoping for a treat.
The tulips not only survived the strange winter, some grew to monster size.
High winds blew over the old woodshed.
The month-old chicks have moved to the barn where they can explore and exercise their wings. Or huddle in a corner when the human comes in. We are thrilled to get them, and their stinky poops, out of our laundry room.
Crabapple flowers signal that spring has truly arrived.
I wanted to like specific photos but don't know how. In any case, Camp Chickapoo is my favorite one. I have to ask you again: did you ever watch Victorian Farm, or Edwardian Farm from BBC (I think)? It's available on Amazon (at least it used to be) and—tell me if I'm wrong if you've seen those shows—I think you would enjoy them. Some of your pictures remind me of those English country farms, and I think back to the day to day decision making that went on in those shows. The concept was to ask three smart knowledgeable contemporary people to run a productive small farm using the methods of late 19th century. I found it really enlightening, but you might say, "been there done that." Curious. Keep up the good work!
Love it!
